Animal Sanctuary
At BAARC, we believe in giving every animal a chance at a better life. Our team of volunteers is committed to making a difference, and we are always looking for more hands and hearts to join us.
Founded in April of 2024, we currently have two dog shelters:
one in Boracay and one in Nabaoy River that together house over 40 dogs. We are in the process of creating a cat shelter and until then, we rely on dedicated volunteers to foster cats and kittens.

What we do
About Us
We are a small but dedicated team of volunteers with one purpose—to give Boracay’s stray animals a place where they feel safe and cared for. Every day, we come across dogs and cats struggling to survive, some too weak to lift their heads, others abandoned and scheduled to be euthanized.
In just one year, we’ve poured our hearts into rescuing, healing, and finding homes for these forgotten souls. The work is exhausting and often heartbreaking, but every wagging tail, every grateful purr, and every life saved reminds us why we keep going.

Saving Animals
Each rescue is a testament to our commitment to animal welfare and our belief in the transformative power of rescue and adoption.
Medical Care
Our animals receive routine vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick prevention, spay and neutering as well as necessary operations.
Food & Nutrition
We partner with local restaurants to provide nutritious kitchen scraps to help feed animals under our care. Turning food waist into full tummies.
Education
We engage with the community through educational initiatives on responsible pet ownership and advocate for animal welfare.
